Danboise Mechanical Inc. traces its roots back to 1925, when Alex Joseph Danboise opened the doors to A.J. Danboise Son, a neighborhood plumbing and hardware store committed to quality and customer service. From the beginning, Alex believed that success depended on one core value: deliver the best products and service—without compromise.
A Legacy Built on Family and Integrity
Over the decades, the Danboise name became synonymous with trust and craftsmanship. Now in its fourth generation of family leadership, the company is proudly run by Alex’s granddaughter, Carol Danboise Gatewood, and great-granddaughter, Amy Gatewood Gendjar. Under their guidance, the company continues to grow and adapt while staying true to its founding values.
A New Chapter in Commercial Excellence
In 2004, as customer needs evolved, the commercial division of A.J. Danboise Son officially branched off to form a new entity: Danboise Mechanical Inc. (DMI). This strategic move allowed the company to focus exclusively on delivering specialized plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services to industrial and commercial clients throughout the Midwest.
Today, DMI is a full-service mechanical contractor providing expert service and installation for a wide range of commercial and industrial systems, including:
- Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)
- Commercial plumbing and drain lines
- Electrical systems, panels, and generators
